British prosecutors claim that Andrew and Tristan Tate allegedly used the “Lover Boy” method to lure women to Romania, where they were subsequently allegedly controlled and exploited to produce pornographic material online. The details appear in extradition requests sent to US authorities and in a summary prepared by a British detective.
According to the allegations, the Tate brothers allegedly feigned romantic relationships and promised the women love, a better life and the opportunity to earn money. After moving to Romania, the women allegedly became financially dependent on the two men, investigators claim.
The documents mention the alleged confiscation of passports, as well as the use of physical and sexual violence to control the women and force them to produce pornographic material online. Investigators allegedly referred to the villa in Pipera as the brothers’ “base.”
Andrew and Tristan Tate deny the allegations. Their lawyer disputes their credibility and argues that the defense cannot independently verify the claims because the identities of the women accusing them have not been disclosed. The two men are in the United States, where they are awaiting the completion of the extradition proceedings.
