Strong fire at a waste storage and processing warehouse in Prahova

A large fire broke out at a storage and processing facility for waste and plastic materials in the town of Băicoi, Prahova County. At the scene, seven fire trucks with water and foam, one vehicle for personnel transport and intervention, as well as a crew from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ) are intervening.

The intervention device has been supplemented with a vehicle equipped with robots from ISU Bucharest-Ilfov. Although no casualties have been reported, due to the large smoke emissions, a RO-ALERT message was issued for the population. Firefighters are prioritizing the localization and extinguishing of the fire, aiming to limit the spread of the flames to other areas.
