A van caught fire on the A1 motorway, heading towards Pitești, blocking traffic for dozens of minutes. The driver managed to get out of the vehicle.

On Saturday, May 2, traffic on the A1 Highway, in the direction of Pitești, was blocked for several tens of minutes due to a fire that broke out in a moving van. The incident occurred in the area of the locality Căteasca, and footage obtained by Digi24 shows that the front part of the vehicle was completely burned. Fortunately, the driver managed to exit the vehicle before the flames spread.

Authorities quickly intervened to manage the situation, but traffic was significantly affected as a result of this incident. Traffic resumed after the fire was extinguished and the area was cleared.
