Fire at Fundeni Clinical Institute: 37 patients evacuated

The firefighters were called to intervene on Saturday morning at the Fundeni Clinical Institute in Bucharest, where a fire broke out in a ward, generating smoke emissions on the 3rd floor.

According to ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, 37 patients were evacuated safely. 15 fire trucks with water and foam, one intervention and rescue vehicle from heights, one rescue vehicle, the Special Rescue Detachment, and six SMURD teams were sent to the scene.

The authorities confirmed that no victims were identified, and the fire was extinguished without any further significant issues. The rapid intervention of the rescue teams ensured the safety of the patients and medical staff.
