On Sunday evening, a fire broke out at a polystyrene processing factory in the locality of Iclod, Cluj County.

According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, initially six fire-fighting vehicles were mobilized, but the intervention was later supplemented with three more vehicles, reaching a total of nine. The fire engulfed a hall of approximately 2,000 square meters, where polystyrene was stored. Firefighters from Detachments 1 and 2 Cluj-Napoca are working intensively to contain the fire. So far, no casualties have been reported as a result of the incident, and a SMURD crew has also been dispatched to the scene for assistance.
