A company carrying out work in Carol Park in Bucharest will be fined 5,000 lei for cutting the roots of seven trees, without approval from the Capital City Hall. Workers dug trenches on the paved walkway and affected the green space, causing significant damage. The Local Police checked the works and requested proof of authorization, but the company will be sanctioned regardless of the legality of the intervention. The City Hall announced measures for cleaning public spaces, including the dismantling of illegal advertising panels and repairing sidewalks. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu emphasized the importance of civilizing public spaces and announced additional measures for protecting the urban environment.
