Pensioners with pensions below 3,000 lei will benefit from financial support in tranches, which should have been granted before Easter. Due to legislative delays, the first payment may be postponed, said Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, in an intervention on Romania TV.

He explained that, due to the attack on the Constitutional Court regarding the budget law by AUR, pensioners may receive the support along with the pension after Easter. The financial support is structured into three categories: 1,000 lei in two tranches for pensions below 1,500 lei, 800 lei for pensions between 1,501 and 2,000 lei, and 600 lei for pensions between 2,001 and 3,000 lei. This project targets over 2.8 million pensioners, representing more than half of the total pensioners in Romania.
