A 59-year-old man was found charred in a fire at a barn in Medgidia. Firefighters rescued 50 goats and 10 pigs.

A devastating fire occurred on the night from Wednesday to Thursday at a sheepfold in Medgidia, Constanța County, where a 59-year-old man was found charred. According to the Dobrogea Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU), the fire broke out in a winter shelter for animals, which also included a living room.

Three fire trucks with water and foam, as well as a vehicle for transporting multiple victims, intervened at the scene. The flames were extinguished after about two hours, and the deceased person was discovered inside the living room. Firefighters managed to save 50 goats and 10 pigs from the affected sheepfold, and the area affected by the fire was estimated to be approximately 300 square meters.
