On Monday morning, on the Olt Valley, a serious road accident occurred on DN 7, in the locality of Călimănești, Vâlcea County. Around 06:00, a 19-year-old young man from Pitești, driving a car, made an illegal overtaking and collided head-on with a truck driven by a 56-year-old man. Unfortunately, the young man died as a result of the impact, and four other people in the car were injured and transported to the hospital for medical care. Traffic was blocked in both directions for more than an hour, and the police launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
