Collision between a cargo minibus and a truck in Mehedinți: one person died, and another was injured

A road accident occurred on Sunday on DN 56A, in the locality of Bucura, Mehedinți County, between a cargo minibus and a truck.

Firefighters from Mehedinți were called to intervene, and rescue teams and SMURD ambulances from the Vânju Mare Fire Station and the Drobeta Turnu Severin Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene, along with three SAJ ambulances. Upon arrival of the teams, one victim was trapped, requiring the firefighters' intervention for extraction.

As a result of the impact, one person lost their life, and the second victim was transported urgently, with the SAJ team requesting the intervention of the SMURD helicopter.

Traffic on DN 56A was stopped in both directions, and traffic values increased significantly.
