On Sunday morning, around 05:00, an explosion occurred in an apartment on Roman Vodă Street in Iași, caused by a gas leak from a cylinder. The Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) Iași was alerted via a 112 call and quickly dispatched intervention teams, including firefighting vehicles, rescue units, and first aid. At the scene, it was confirmed that the explosion was not followed by a fire and there was no smoke release. A man approximately 50 years old suffered first-degree burns to his face and hands and was transported to the hospital for medical care. Assessments showed that the structural integrity of the building was not affected, and the evacuation of other residents was not necessary.
