The explosion on the night of August 1-2 at the Cugir arms factory alerted the authorities, and the Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, ordered immediate security measures. These include reinstating the obligation to authorize people entering armament factories and updating security plans. The fire affected an area of 700 square meters and involved 400,000 cartridges. The criminal investigation is ongoing and Miruță emphasized the importance of management in preventing such incidents.
