An explosion followed by a fire occurred in a beauty salon located in a dormitory room on Nicolae Iorga Boulevard in Iași. Firefighters from Department 2 responded quickly after a call to 112 reported the incident. At the scene, the crews found that the premises were filled with smoke, but there were no open flames and the structure of the building had not been affected. Initially, a gas accumulation was considered, but subsequent investigations showed that the explosion was intentionally caused by throwing a fuel container inside the salon.

The goods in the salon were affected over an area of approximately 40 square meters. Firefighters concluded that the fire was generated by the intentional use of open flames in an enclosed space. An investigation is underway to identify the individuals involved and the circumstances of the incident.
