According to the latest Eurobarometer, Romania has a pro-EU position, but ranks last among the 27 European states regarding the perception of the Union's role in protecting citizens, with only 43%. Although 90% of Europeans desire unity, Romania records only 73% in this regard. Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament, emphasizes the need for a united and strong Europe to respond to global challenges.
