President Nicușor Dan appointed Eugen Tomac on Thursday evening to form a government, almost a month after Ilie Bolojan's cabinet was ousted by a no-confidence motion on May 5. Tomac will have a period of 10 days to negotiate support in Parliament for his government and the government program. Subsequently, he will need to present himself before Parliament for the investiture vote, requiring 233 votes from the majority of senators and deputies to be invested in office. We remind that after the no-confidence motion against the Government led by Ilie Bolojan on May 5, President Nicușor Dan organized consultations with parties and parliamentary groups, both formal and informal.
