During the period of October 13-17, 2025, the National Environmental Guard, together with the Transport Police, conducted inspections in the counties of Călărași, Constanța, and Ialomița, as part of the CLEAN WATERS 2025 Action Plan. The actions aimed to prevent and combat illegalities in the fishing sector and to verify compliance with environmental legislation.

Following the inspections, 16 sanctions were applied, including 9 contraventional fines totaling 357,500 lei and 7 warnings. Additionally, a criminal complaint was filed for the illegal dumping of waste on the left bank of the Danube, and the activity of an economic operator was suspended. Among the identified irregularities are the uncontrolled disposal of waste, illegal use of pontoons, and the discharge of wastewater into surface waters.
