At the end of last week, the police in Botoșani received an envelope by mail that contained a complaint regarding the aggressive behavior of a driver, as well as a 100 euro banknote.
The chief inspector of IPJ Botoșani, chief commissioner Tudor Costeș, stated that the envelope arrived at the Traffic Service at the beginning of last week. The authorities do not know the purpose of the banknote, but they immediately notified the Prosecutor's Office next to the Botoșani Tribunal to determine the criminal relevance of sending the money and the sender's intention.
During the same press conference, Costeș emphasized that IPJ Botoșani is among the first counties in the country regarding cases of refraining from bribery, highlighting the importance of police integrity in relation to citizens.
