Elena Udrea has decided to withdraw her request for conditional release registered at the Ploiești court, according to judicial sources. She will make a new request after the evaluation by the parole commission of the Targsor Penitentiary. Recently, the Prahova court admitted an appeal, reducing her six-year prison sentence in the 'Gala Bute' case by about eight months. Udrea, who was jailed in June 2022 after extradition from Bulgaria, is charged with corruption, with an estimated €3 million in damages.
