Economy Minister Bogdan Ivan has announced that he has blocked a request for a 12-fold increase in the allowances of board members at the Făgăraș Pulp Mill, describing it as an "aberration" in the context of the company's poor performance. Ivan pointed out that although the factory has received €20 million for investment, progress is unsatisfactory. He criticized the tendency to increase allowances without concrete results and cited similar problems in other state-owned companies, which continue to pay high salaries despite losses.
