On Sunday, August 16, an EOD team from the Romanian Naval Forces recovered a wing from a drone in the Black Sea, near the Neptun Alpha platform, located 83 nautical miles from Constanța. The object was initially observed on August 15 by a commercial vessel, in the vicinity of the platform. Representatives of the Ministry of National Defense announced that the EOD team was dispatched to the area aboard a Coast Guard vessel to carry out the recovery. Investigations in the area continue to determine the circumstances under which the drone wing ended up in the water. This mission underscores the importance of monitoring and maritime security in the region.
