Dragoș Pîslaru announces his return to PNL and describes himself as a "lost son"

Former MEP Dragoș Pîslaru sent a public message after the decision to return to the ranks of PNL and to take on a vice-presidential role in the new leadership structure approved at the party's extraordinary Congress. Pîslaru symbolically described himself as a "lost son" returning to the liberal formation, expressing his honor at the invitation received from the party president and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to be part of his team.

He emphasized that his decision aims to strengthen a serious and pragmatic center-right political construction capable of responding to current economic challenges. His return, along with other figures from USR and REPER to the leadership of PNL, was a central point of debate and tension during the Congress, provoking critical reactions from the conservative wing of the party.
