The Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, announced on Thursday that in the government meeting, the draft law regarding the preparation of the population for defense was approved, which introduces the concept of voluntary military service in the long term.

Thus, young people between 18 and 35 years old will undergo voluntary military training, will become familiar with the Army, will train with the weaponry of the Romanian Army, and will remain in the operational reserve of the Army, and they will receive 3 average salaries after the 4-month training period.
