Diana Buzoianu appointed engineer Dr. Doru Dragoș Cazan as the general director of ANAR, following a transparent selection.

The Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, has signed the Order for the appointment of engineer Dr. Doru Dragoș Cazan as the general director of the National Administration 'Apele Române' (ANAR), starting from January 20, 2026. The selection process was open and transparent, with video recordings of the interviews published on YouTube. Buzoianu emphasized the importance of competence and integrity in this appointment.

Doru Dragoș Cazan has over 30 years of experience in water management and flood risk management, having previously served as the technical director of the National Institute of Hydrology. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Hydrotechnics and holds a PhD in civil engineering, having made significant contributions to the modernization of hydrological systems in Romania.
