President Nicușor Dan received a letter from Donald Trump, inviting Romania to be part of the 'Peace Council' for Ukraine, an entity meant to oversee the implementation of a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. Trump described this Council as 'unique' and emphasized the importance of Romania's participation as a founding member state. Trump invited about 60 world leaders, and the Council could become a 'potential replacement for the UN', having representatives from Ukraine, Europe, NATO, and Russia. Meanwhile, negotiations for a peace agreement continue, with a new round scheduled in Miami, where Ukraine and the US are discussing details of the peace plan.
