The president of USR, Dominic Fritz, sent a message of support for the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, in the context of the simple motion initiated by the PACE Group - Together Romania. Fritz criticized the extremists who submitted the motion, stating that they present themselves as patriots but defend the interests of the timber and beach mafias. He emphasized that Buzoianu, through her actions, promotes true patriotism, fighting for people and for the protection of Romania's natural resources. The motion, submitted by Senator Ninel Peia, is titled "Diana Buzoianu, the red-green commissioner of thirst and darkness" and is signed by 44 senators from PACE, AUR, and independent parliamentarians. It reflects the current political tensions and the challenges faced by the Minister of Environment.
