Prosecutors from the Prosecutor's Office near the Târgu-Jiu Court have opened a case involving several doctors and nurses, accused of issuing false medical documents for convicted individuals who were required to perform community service. Following 41 searches conducted in Gorj County, 36 individuals are set to be heard.

Investigations have shown that, between 2022 and 2025, one doctor and four nurses issued false fitness certificates and medical attestations, certifying that the suspects were unfit for work. These documents were used to request the cessation of unpaid work obligations. Additionally, a gynecologist issued fictitious diagnoses to attract patients to a medical office, while another doctor issued false medical leave certificates. The actions of the prosecutors aim to combat abuses in the private medical system.
