Tiberiu Paul Neagu has been sacked by the manager of Floreasca Hospital after being accused of irresponsibility in the management of a Candida auris outbreak. Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete called for his resignation, pointing out that Neagu was on vacation during the crisis. Controls confirmed multi-resistant infections in patients, and Neagu has not offered public explanations. The head of the microbiology laboratory, Ileana Coldea, was also dismissed.
