This requirement has been met with opposition from the staff, who launched the campaign "We won't give up our wedding rings."
Rogobete insisted that wedding rings can be sources of infection and threatened to remove those who do not comply with the rule from the ICU. He also emphasized the importance of reporting nosocomial infections and taking immediate measures, comparing the situation in Romania with that in Germany, where twice as many infections are reported. The Minister stressed that adherence to hygiene protocols is essential for controlling infections in hospitals.
