The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, stated that he does not understand why doctor Ștefania Szabo, who died at the Buzău County Emergency Hospital, chose to do seven shifts a month, when the average was three. He emphasized the importance of psychological counseling for doctors, considering the burnout and pressure issues they face. Szabo, the medical director of the hospital, was found dead in the guard room, and the investigation in this case is ongoing. Sources indicate that syringes and a vial of propofol, a powerful anesthetic, were found in the guard room, which the doctor is believed to have injected herself with. The investigation also includes the removal of the doctor's car from the hospital courtyard, and the autopsy will be performed in the presence of an independent forensic doctor requested by the family. The results of the toxicological tests will be available in a few days.
