The death of doctor Ștefania Szabo, found dead in the guard room of the largest hospital in Buzău, has shocked the medical community. At just 37 years old, she was known for her dedication, having not taken medical leave for about three to four years. Recent information suggests that, on the evening before her death, she may have self-injected with propofol, an anesthetic that can be fatal if administered incorrectly.
Toxicologists warn that self-injection can quickly lead to loss of consciousness and, in some cases, death. Her colleagues mentioned that Ștefania worked extremely hard, having up to 8 shifts a month, which may have contributed to her exhaustion. This tragedy has raised questions about working conditions in the medical system and the impact of stress on medical staff.
