Two defendants have been charged with cannabis trafficking, having been caught with 15 kg of drugs. The searches also uncovered other prohibited substances.

In June 2025 and January 2026, two men aged 36 and 37 procured cannabis from Spain, sending it to Romania through courier companies. Recently, a 37-year-old defendant, a recidivist, was caught in the act with two packages containing approximately 15 kilograms of cannabis.

Prosecutors claim that the drugs were distributed to other members of the group, including a 20-year-old young man, and another 21-year-old defendant sold cannabis between 2022 and 2025. Following searches conducted in Vrancea and Bucharest, illegal substances were seized, including 1 kilogram of crystalline substance and 30 grams of amphetamine, as well as tools for drug consumption. The Vrancea Tribunal has been notified for the preventive arrest of the four detained defendants, and the actions were coordinated with police and gendarmes from several counties. All defendants benefit from the presumption of innocence.
