MEP Diana Șoșoacă will be investigated for 10 of the 11 offenses she was accused of, after the legal committee of the European Parliament decided not to lift her immunity and for praising Nicolae Ceaușescu in plenary. She will be summoned to the Prosecutor's Office, where she will be informed about the change in legal classification and will be heard again. According to Antena 3 CNN, prosecutors will ask her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, but Șoșoacă is preparing to refuse, having already submitted a request to the General Prosecutor's Office to waive this assessment. She has undergone an evaluation by an independent psychiatrist, the results of which have been attached to the file.
It is estimated that the summons to the Prosecutor's Office could take place by the end of the week, considering that Șoșoacă has recently returned from Brussels and was present in Parliament for the debate on the motion of censure.
