A 49-year-old woman died after the roof of a building collapsed in Otopeni and the storm caused damage in Bucharest, including suspended flights.

Following a strong gale, the roof of a building in Otopeni collapsed, causing the death of a 49-year-old woman. At the Police Academy, part of the roof was blown off. Fallen trees destroyed cars on various streets in Bucharest and 15 aircraft had to wait for the weather to improve. Flights were diverted to other airports, but after 6pm, landings resumed at Henri Coandă International Airport. Bucharest was under a code red severe weather warning.
