The storm of July 17-18 caused significant damage in 60 localities in 14 counties and Bucharest, with strong winds toppling trees, tearing off roofs and flooding homes. Emergency crews worked to evacuate water and remove building elements, damaging 186 vehicles. Road and air traffic was affected and one woman died in Otopeni and two people were injured in Bucharest.
