An arson attack has led to the death of an 89-year-old man in Putna Valley, with authorities investigating the circumstances.

The fire broke out on August 15, causing rapid destruction of the outbuildings and the roof of the house, with a total of about 180 square meters affected. Firefighters responded for more than six hours, managing to limit the damage and save the rest of the house. The victim, an 89-year-old man, was found burned alive in one of the affected outbuildings. The authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire and who set it.
