On the night from Saturday to Sunday, a violent fire occurred in an apartment building in Oradea, around 03:50. The flames almost completely destroyed an apartment located on the third floor, and firefighters quickly intervened, using a ladder truck to rescue two adults and a child trapped on the fourth floor. Following the fire, the apartment owner and two other individuals suffered burns and smoke inhalation, and were transported to the hospital. The cause of the fire was determined to be an unattended lit candle.

Firefighters evacuated nine people from the building, four of whom required medical assistance. The affected apartment was destroyed by 80%, and three parked cars nearby were damaged. Authorities emphasize the importance of supervising candles and lamps to prevent such incidents.
