On the night from Saturday to Sunday, a violent fire almost completely destroyed a house in the locality of Havârna, Botoșani County. The flames were extinguished after an intervention of over five hours, involving military and volunteer firefighters. Crews from the Darabani Work Point and the Dorohoi Fire Department, as well as the Havârna Volunteer Emergency Service, intervened at the scene. The fire affected not only the house but also several outbuildings. The owner's wife suffered a panic attack and was transported to the hospital for medical care. The cause of the fire was determined to be a lit cigarette left next to combustible materials, according to ISU Botoșani.
