Devastating fire at Bisericani Monastery in Neamț: one person deceased

A powerful fire broke out on Friday morning at the Bisericani Monastery in Neamț County, causing significant damage.

The firefighters from the Piatra-Neamț Fire Department quickly intervened to extinguish the flames that engulfed a building housing the monastery's archive, accommodation spaces, and the canteen. During the intervention, the crews discovered a deceased person in one of the rooms, a man found charred.

The fire has been contained, and firefighters continue to work on extinguishing it, which is affecting an area of approximately 400 square meters.

The intervention is ongoing, and the authorities are monitoring the situation.
