On November 2, the gas storage facilities of Depogaz reached a filling capacity of 98.6%, a month earlier than the requirements of the European Commission. Bogdan Stănescu, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Depogaz Ploiești, emphasized the effectiveness of the storage and extraction measures implemented, including a SWAP mechanism that optimizes gas management. Stănescu mentioned that, in 2024, the company exited winter with 50% gas in storage, and in 2025 with 25%. Additionally, Depogaz is carrying out three investment projects to increase storage capacity at the facilities in Bilciurești, Ghercești, and Sărmășel, funded from its own sources and European grants. These projects will allow for greater storage and extraction capacity, contributing to the efficiency of the company's operations.
