Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4, expressed concern regarding the lack of signature for the funding of the M4 subway line by the Minister of Transport, accusing that infrastructure projects are affected by political disputes. During the inauguration of a new monitoring center, Băluță emphasized that it is unacceptable for essential projects to be blocked due to rivalries between parties, stating that the subway is a public good, not a tool for political revenge.
The mayor labeled the situation as 'shameful', mentioning that Romania risks losing 3.5 billion euros due to these conflicts. Băluță called for a responsible government that prioritizes infrastructure development and is not influenced by political interests. His criticisms also extended to the interim government, which he accused of constantly rejecting local projects.
