During the inauguration of a new monitoring center, Băluță emphasized that it is unacceptable for essential projects to be blocked due to rivalries between parties, stating that the subway is a public good, not a tool for political revenge.

The mayor labeled the situation as 'shameful', mentioning that Romania risks losing 3.5 billion euros due to these conflicts. Băluță called for a responsible government that prioritizes infrastructure development and is not influenced by political interests. His criticisms also extended to the interim government, which he accused of constantly rejecting local projects.
