Dan Vîlceanu, former minister and deputy, will receive a decision from the High Court of Cassation and Justice on Tuesday regarding the charges of assault, after allegedly physically attacking his colleague from PNL, Florin Roman, in Parliament. The incident occurred in May 2024, when the two had an altercation in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, with Roman claiming he was hit and bitten on the nose by Vîlceanu. Florin Roman stated that he was physically assaulted and needed medical attention after the incident. Vîlceanu denies the allegations and claims he was provoked. The court will decide whether the case will proceed.
