Dacia, the second best-selling car brand in Europe, has announced a new voluntary departure program for employees, which will allow for amicable termination of employment contracts.

This initiative is not related to a poor economic state, but to the intensification of automation and digitization processes. The program is based on volunteerism and will affect approximately 260 employees, with individual employment contracts ending on March 1, 2026. Employees who choose to participate will benefit from compensation ranging between 25,000 and 210,000 lei net, depending on seniority.

This measure targets employees in areas with reduced activity or structural changes. Dacia emphasizes that the program is not a reaction to declining sales, but an adaptation to new technological realities, with the company having good performance in sales, with 697,408 vehicles sold in 2025.
