PSD-PNL-UDMR coalition candidate Crin Antonescu went to CNSAS to obtain documents from his file, following a 1988 statement about a colleague who wanted to leave Romania. CNSAS confirmed that the statement did not qualify him as a Securitate collaborator. Antonescu explained the delay in his request by health problems and emphasized that the request was a personal decision, without external influence. He will give further details at a scheduled press conference.
