A 64-year-old man from Săcele, Brașov County was found dead in his apartment on March 17, after the building manager alerted the authorities due to a lack of response. At the scene, the police discovered the victim with violent injuries to the head. The investigation revealed that the man lived with his aggressor, who attacked him after the victim asked him to leave the residence.
The conflict escalated, and the aggressor struck the victim and strangled him, causing his death. After committing the act, the suspect stole the victim's bank card and fled towards Brașov train station, intending to reach Hungary. He was caught on the night of March 18, at a gas station, and detained for murder and fraud. The court issued a preventive arrest warrant for 30 days.
