A corporal from Constanța was sentenced to a suspended sentence for driving under the influence of drugs, after being caught by the police.

The Bucharest Military Tribunal sentenced a corporal from Constanța to a suspended sentence for driving a vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances. The incident occurred on the night of June 23, 2025, when the soldier was stopped by police in Olănești, and tests confirmed the presence of THC-5 in his system. During the investigation, the corporal admitted to having consumed cannabis at a barbecue, without feeling the effects at the time of the stop.

The court appreciated his acknowledgment of guilt and ordered 90 days of community service. It also prohibited the defendant from driving vehicles for 2 years, emphasizing the danger of drug use among young people and its impact on road safety.
