A local councillor in Arad is denouncing serious problems with the new bridge, calling it "the bridge of shame of Călin Bibarț" and claiming that it could collapse before the inauguration. The €30m construction has encountered difficulties on site, and the mayor, builder and designer are accused of concealing the shortcomings. The state building inspectorate found deformations in the structure and fined the builder. The City Hall postponed the acceptance of the works, pointing out that the bridge does not meet the necessary technical standards.
