The contract for the construction of the Cluj Regional Emergency Hospital, an essential project for the medical infrastructure in Romania, was signed on Tuesday, May 12.


Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that this moment represents an important achievement after many years of delays.


The hospital will become the main provider of medical services in the North-West Region, having 850 beds, of which 100 for intensive care. The investment amounts to approximately 2 billion lei, and the completion deadline is 40 months. Local officials also attended the signing ceremony, highlighting the importance of this project for the quality of life of citizens. The hospital will include 22 operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and a helipad, aiming to improve access to modern medical services for millions of people in Transylvania.
