The Baicons Impex and Arex Lider Company association has won a contract for the improvement of railway transport in Romania, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and safety of services.

The contract was awarded to the association Baicons Impex (leader) – Arex Lider Company, with the main objective of increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of rail transport in Romania.

The project aims to improve the quality of services and safety in operation, thus contributing to the development of transport infrastructure and economic integration into the European Union. Among the general objectives is the implementation of a European transport system with zero carbon emissions and ensuring traffic management technological systems for the Port of Constanța.

The project includes improving the geometry of the route and electrifying the railway lines in the North Port. The duration of the contract is 159 months, including design, execution, reception, and warranty stages. The funding comes from the Connecting Europe Facility program and the budget of the Ministry of Transport.
