The rehabilitation works on the 7.8 km long Progresu-Berceni section of the district heating network have been completed, part of a larger project to replace more than 32 kilometers of network in Bucharest by 2025. These improvements will optimize the thermal supply on several major streets. The mayor emphasized the use of modern technology to facilitate rapid interventions in case of breakdowns and mentioned that 24 major construction sites are underway in the capital, most of them financed by European funds.
