The Competition Council has announced the widening of an investigation into a possible price-fixing cartel in the crop seeds and plant protection products sector. The unannounced inspections were carried out at companies such as Agrii Romania, Syngenta and Monsanto, after indications of the involvement of other distributors were identified. The Authority underlines that these actions are authorized by the Bucharest Court of Appeal and do not constitute a pre-judgment on the guilt of the companies involved.
